Capturing the magic with Variety and Cartier.
The brief
Cortino was brought on to produce “La La Land In Concert” with Justin Hurwitz, in collaboration with Variety and Cartier, alongside Lionsgate, Hurwitz Concerts, and La La Land In Concert. We filmed on location in Venice during the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, letting a city full of master craftspeople set the stage for moments of cinematic magic.

Execution and delivery
We filmed the performance inside Teatro La Fenice, Venice’s historic opera house, capturing Hurwitz’s score in a setting as cinematic as the film itself. Rather than waiting to return home, we edited on-site in Venice, shaping the piece in the same city and festival moment that inspired it. The result was a polished concert film, shot and delivered with precision, emotion, and Cortino’s signature sense of spectacle.
